Houston, TX - April 17, 2025 - Little Place Labs (LPL), a pioneer in near real-time space-based insights, today announced the unveiling of near real-time Vessel Detection & Classification capability, enabled by Sidus Space’s (NASDAQ: SIDU) 3D printed LizzieSat® satellite platform.

In January 2025, Little Place Labs (LPL) and Sidus formed a strategic partnership and signed a

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop integrated satellite solutions based on edge computing and AI applications. As a next step in that effort, we are proud to announce that Orbitfy, powered by LizzieSat®, leverages LPL’s OrbitfyEdge AI solution. This collaboration aims to meet the growing needs of a global customer base and is expected to provide accurate vessel detection and classification within one hour of satellite observation. This product is expected to provide accurate vessel detection and classification in under one hour of satellite observation, minimizing latency and maximizing operational agility for maritime security, logistics, and other mission-critical sectors. Initial deployments will focus on high-density maritime routes, with plans to scale coverage and applications as additional LizzieSats® come online.

“This launch will bring us closer to our goal of delivering near real-time insights from orbit - especially critical for time-sensitive maritime operations, where faster decisions, better transparency, and improved security can make a real difference,” said Bosco Lai, CEO of Little Place Labs. “The combined capabilities of Little Place Labs and Sidus Space are changing how space-based insights are delivered, unlocking use cases that were not possible before.”

By processing data directly onboard LizzieSat® through the Sidus Orlaith™ AI Ecosystem, which includes FeatherEdge™ edge computing hardware, OrbitfyEdge is expected to eliminate the delay of downlinking and ground-based insights. It detects and classifies vessels and cross-references onboard AIS (Automatic Identification System) data to confirm or flag nefarious or bad actors known as “dark” vessels. These insights will be delivered in near real-time, supporting rapid responses to events such as piracy, illegal fishing, or supply chain disruptions.

“We are excited to support Little Place Labs in delivering near real-time maritime intelligence through our LizzieSat® constellation,” said Jim Larson, Sidus Space Senior Vice President of AI Strategic Initiatives. “By enabling edge processing in orbit with our FeatherEdge® onboard edge computing hardware, we’re reducing the time from data capture to actionable insight, which is critical for operations where every minute counts. This collaboration underscores our commitment to advancing space-based AI and making satellite data more immediate and impactful.”

An early access program is now open to select customers. Their feedback will guide product refinements and the development of future applications in near real-time object detection and classification.
